A friend of mine introduced me to acrylic paint pouring earlier this year and it is super fun! I have really been enjoying experimenting with colors and techniques, and more recently I began incorporating my favorite subject matter - spoiler alert - animals :)
A while ago, I discovered a recipe for a “paper mache clay” that can be applied to an armature to create a solid and very sturdy outer layer for sculptures. These pieces were all created with this technique.
It’s a lot more challenging to show an action or tell a brief story using only silhouettes, but definitely some of the most fun drawings to dream up and make!
Each of these drawings is based on the theme of animals helping other animals, using their own unique talents in unique, helpful ways. I hope it is an inspiration to animals everywhere.
